I'm waiting to order my 23 Maverick Lariat Hybrid. I'm downsizing from an F150 4x4. After much thought, I'm opting for the Hybrid simply for the fuel economy. I'm hoping they make AWD available in the Hybrid but I'm afraid that may be another year away. Living in Kansas and with the Maverick driving almost exclusively on highways and paved roads I really don't think I need AWD anyway. Depending on package availability I'll probably get a fully-loaded Lariat because I want all of the safety features I can get. I'm also liking either version of red that we see in the 22's so we'll see what's available in the 23s. If there's a huge potential delay for a hybrid I may switch to the 2.0 but I hate to pay more and give up the added fuel savings. I just hope the hybrid recall issues are in the past.

I've been following this forum for several months and I want to thank all of you for your contributions. I appreciate your thoughts on the Maverick and really enjoy reading your evaluations and ownership updates. Real-world experience and ownership reviews mean more to me than what some auto editor writes. I read their stuff too but it's easy for their brand bias to show through. I'm hearing Aug. 2 is the day so hopefully, my order process will go smoothly.

Do yourself a favor and make sure to order the trailer hitch or tow package. In MY22 it was included in "some" packages or could be ordered separate for like $100, waaaaaaaaaay more expensive to add after the vehicle is built. Theirs lots of uses for in other than trailer towing, i.e. bike racks, etc., never know when you might have a need for it.
