Gave it a rinse yesterday during the rain, finally got around to upgrading the wheel as well. Loving my velocity blue maverick!

4620 miles in the 48 days since I picked up my new xlt, fx4. It's my daily driver to get me from the country to the city and back.
This last week I was dealing with a sub zero blizzard, and when that was done some freezing sleet.
I took it in for the first oil change today. It drives good. Its been fun. Its handled the bad weather like a champ. All in all, it's been great.

Number one compliment on my Maverick is always the VB Blue color.

Haven't put my finger on it but V.Blue on some other Ford trucks doesn't look that great...but VB looks like a bowtie on the Maverick. Must be all the black contrasting trim, especially the front grill and large black rear bumper. The black trim seems to pop-out more on the Maverick.

Such a popular VB you'd think FORD would eventually restore it as a color choice.

I traded my 2018 F150 with Lightening Blue for my 2022 Maverick hybrid in Velocity Blue. Almost went with white, but too many white vehicles for us 'retire' folks on the road :)

Took delivery of my Velocity Blue Maverick last week on Tuesday after a 465 day wait, thoroughly happy with it so far. Had just over a week to romp about in it and even had some snowfall. A bit different from my 2016 GTI I had as my daily prior but surprisingly not by much as far as handling and pep. "Not trying to compare apples to oranges but I was looking for a truck that handled like a car this does not disappoint." The GTI was definitely more torquey but the AWD in the Mav is on point it seems. The dash does seem to creak a bit but not enough to bother me I pushed down on all the dash pieces and it seemed to mitigate that issue.

Once again happy as can be as there was nothing else on the market that peaked my interest so worth the wait. Also my friend named it Goose. . . I hate geese but the Mavericks name is now Goose. I tried to chase a bunch of geese when I was little and learned a lesson the hard way with wild animals haha...

Sharing one of my detail finds: I'm a little excessive over detailing a car that looks good for months without a lot of work. Ceramic coating on every vehicle....and this stuff on black rubber/vinyl trim. I've tried McGuire's, Turtles, and all the major "return to back" chemicals...found nothing as good as this stuff.

"Solution Finish Black Trim Restorer" (SFBTR). This stuff is the BEST I've ever seen. But is expensive at 12 oz bottle ($20 to $35) one 12oz bottle will last for years. The one ounce bottle for $14-$19 is a waste of time and money. 4 or 5 drops will do one side of the bed side rails. Best not to get it on paint surfaces but not a big deal if you do. Use on any black rubber textured surfaces (not hard black plastic or black metal trim) is restored to "as new" and stays black for months, and repels water. Works on black textured type trim and I'll eventually use it on my Gator tonneau cover. Surfaces have to be very dry and product takes 5 to 6 hrs to totally dry and adsorb into the textured rubber/plastic or vinyl. Not intended to use on tires so I use the tire spray foam stuff on tires.

It is on Amazon and Ebay and I found a dealer on eBay with the lowest price and free shipping.

I never use drive thru car washes or pressure washer sprayers...they just blow off ceramic coating, wax, and SFBTR. Only use Ceramic Soap Restorer or Automotive Soap and low-pressure garden hose.

Love my Velocity Blue Maverick Lariat Fx4 Luxury Ecoboost. This is my first Ford. Been driving Chevys since 1972. Added hood protector, bed mat, mud flaps, window vents covers, center console safe and sill plates.
