The springs and dampers need to deal with the additional mass, vertical acceleration and force. Tire pressure adjustment is the easy/free tool you have at your disposal to help you out with your problem. Do you know what tire pressures you are running with right now?
They are at 35psi like the door sticker demands.

I hope that Ford knew what they were doing when putting 7 pounds heavier tires in option ?

There used to be two 235/65/17 sizes in the falken Wildpeak AT3 tire list on the old web site one of them weighed less than 31 lbs. It's not there anymore maybe they were special made for Ford? And I remember reading on a older post on here the same thing

But (in physics law) what in the world does the tire weight changes to the ride quality (example : when you hit a pothole) ???
When you hit a pothole, the tire drops into the hole (accelerating downward due to gravity). The greater mass of the tire means that the impact is greater (force = mass X acceleration) when it bottoms out (or more commonly - when it hits the far edge of the pothole).

When the tire "rebounds" off the bottom (or edge) of the pothole, the springs and shocks are now dealing with a greater force (again greater mass means greater acceleration). It's like Albert Puhols hitting a ball, versus Pee Wee Herman hitting the same ball.

And 31 lbs versus 25 lbs is a 24% increase in the mass of the tire (and probably at least 10-15% of the total wheel assembly weight) for the suspension to have to dampen and smooth out. It's a bigger "ask" than the lighter tires.

Wow, this a very good explanation.

So can I believe that if Ford offers that wheel and tire option it’s ok to go with it? I mean that the suspension components won’t prematurely worn out because of it?

Yes, I believe that would be correct. You will experience slightly more "bounce" but it should be within design limits, for sure, and certainly not anything dangerous.

I have the same tires on my Hybrid as you do 8000 miles on them 32 PSI cold been all across the USA I love them . Trash truck spun out on my road side ways . Up hill , Curve with a. Very steep slant to the side of the road . My Maverick on ICE and SNOW at about 5 MPH went thru all the cones ,across the road off the road then back on the road NEVER lost Traction . (. Hey Craig, I'm looking at getting these as well. You're running the Wildpeak AT3W at 235/65/17 yeah? I too have a Hybrid in shipping and I was wondering what your MPG has been like? I've read around 1-2 mpg loss is pretty normal? I'm more than happy to lose 1-2 if it means I can have a better, beefier tire. Let me know!

It's kind of hard to tell you 🤔 As soon as I got the truck I put the Wildpeaks on and got rid of those crappy Continentals 👎. Yes that's my tire size 👍🙂
