*Update * & Upgrade after losing everything in house fire

Hey guys, it's been a while. My/ Our last nine months have been wild.

We lost everything in a house fire . Possessions and all of our pets, heirlooms and keepsakes.

It postponed a lot. Hit me up for more info if your curious.



First off, so sorry to hear about the house fire and the loss of your pets. I hope both you and your wife are recovering. Possessions can replaced . Pets cannot .

Now for our Tremor. We / I put an HRG 1.5 in lift on back in January of 2024 and I ran with my stock Wildpeak's.

Tuesday my Wife and I put great thought to a decision. My wife hates spotting for me when we off road. But she loves off roading. She truly loves our Tremor on road, but off road she likes to being shotgun. So I was able to get a sizeable upgrade as a want and not a need.

Tuesday I put on some LT245/70R-17 Vredestein Pinza AT E's. I did eighteen months of research and landed with these guys. I found that all around performance, weather and longevity were all highly regarded by other purchasers. So, I rolled the dice , let's see how I do.

I got some good height out of it. The look is. I m not rubbing and stopping is great. I don't have first dirt or off roading updates yet.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. By the grace of God, I didn't burn down my own house this past winter. Don't EVER plug a space heater into an extension cord. Lesson learned.

Thank you. Yes, I literally lost my road dog, she came before all the kids. The other pets mattered too! But losing Nova was and is a hard hit. The kids are still devastated.

Personal things aside,
If I lost everything in a fire my wife would just fill the house back up and expect me to help her dust stuff.
Hope fully you were properly ensured.
My house got hit by lightening. All expenses covered and all electronics and appliances were replaced with new stuff. Win !
As most everything needed replacing anyways.
I got me a really fast new lap top free !
It was considered an act of God.
My rates never went up.
New roof and all the claim total was $27,000

Even things that were not plugged in got zapped.
Mosfets don’t like super high static blasts.
My Laptop was not plugged in.

Sorry to hear you lost as well. But came back up. We were insured but apparently not enough. We won't get to replace everything, but we are going in to our rebuild with a whole new lease on life. We are grateful for what we do have now and no human lives were lost. We can't replace our pets with the guys we lost, but we can get some new buddies to fill in and become family. Thank you for sharing.

Most extension cords the average homeowner has is 16/3 wire. Good for about 12 amps. A space heater pulling 15 amps and the cord becomes a fusible link. Glad you caught it in time. I had a family member who plugged 2 window AC units into the little lamp cord extension cord. each unit pulled 10 amps, the cord was rated for 10 total. He of course had already swapped out the breaker for a 20 amp and the outlet for a 20 amp. He forgot that the wire was still not rated for 20 amps. His house did catch on fire and his insurance denied the claim.

Oh no.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope he has gotten to a recovery/ recovered/ recovering state. The stress messes with your head, the families head.

Actually this happened more than 40 years ago. He passed away in 2015. But thank you.

It takes time.
My 69-year-old cousin lost everything when her home burnt in Altadena, she didn't even have time to grab her cell phone. On top of that she found out she had breast cancer and is dealing with that. She's living in Oregon with her 75-year-old sister.

I am sorry to hear that, I'm glad she was able to get out.
