TX State Fair Auto Show

And avoid Texas/OU weekend like the plague.

Ah I somehow forgot about Texas-OU. I conveniently scheduled my visit for October 9th.

My new plan is to go on October 8th after 5:00pm. I really just want to peruse the auto show, and even then I really, really just want to see the Maverick.

Any idea in how I can find out which if any ISD's has their "Fair Day" on September 30th.

I tried Googling but that didn't get me anywhere.

Don't know about other DFW school districts but Garland ISD dropped their "fair day" when they went to a week of intersession followed by a week of Fall break. The students are currently off this week and the next week.

Well I am set to go this Thursday September 30th.

Hopefully with no set "Fair Day" even with the students off they all won't be there at the same time or in the numbers they would have been if assigned a single day.

Went to the Texas State Fair today and here are some more pictures.

I am including ones that are more in detailing of individual features as others here have done a fantastic job of posting pictures of the Maverick from the Fair.

This Maverick is the XLT Hybrid base model with no add-ons.

I was pleasantly surprised in how deep both the glove box and center console storage area were.

I am again going back to the State Fair of Texas tomorrow Thursday 10/14.

If anyone has some specific items on the Maverick that they would like pictures of or measurements on let me know.

One thing that I am doing is to measure the tailgate tie down bolt hole as I will need to replace the ones on the tailgate because I am installing the tailgate damper which requires those to be removed so I will order replacement tie-downs that won't interfere with the damper.

I also plan to take under the hood pictures as I didn't get them last time.
