Someone had questions about the low price for their Retractable bed cover ($839) as to wether it was legit. They are! I just received mine a few moments ago. Shipping was $150 via UPS. It’s big and heavy hence the high shipping. I did save $42 using BROWSE5. Total price was $942! I’ve already priced the installation with the dealer accessories guy which will be $100. I’ll be saving $4-500+ over what the dealer offers.

I want to make sure it gets installed correctly. I have an update!!! It’s installed and looks/works great! Yes, it does take up a part of the truck bed but not that much. The Truck2go retractable bed cover works very smoothly and very secure. They were able to install with the factory rail system installed. That’s the good news. The bad news is that it will not be very useful because the clamps are in the way. Nonetheless, that’s a small sacrifice for an affordable retractable cover. Installation cost??? $65!!! My total cost for the cover was $1,007!!!

At some point, I'll probably buy the rack, and then two bike carriers to clamp to them. A cargo basket between them also might look pretty darn good.

Is it a pain since you have to unlock i believe two locks, one on each side to open? I assume you don't have to lock it? Can you open and close the rear gate with the slider closed?

You can lock both locks or just one. Yes, you can open the tailgate with the cover closed and locked.

Thanks for the info. I am considering one as long as the 10 percent off last when i get my Mav most likely end of july or august. I wont buy before because of some unseen event I dont get one.

One of the photos on their website shows, when fully retracted, there is 21 INCHES of the bed taken up, since the two lock mechanisms and the part that hangs over the tailgate don't retract into the cannister. 21 inches of 54 inches lost! Can you take a photo with it fully retracted for us?

I think with any bed cover you are going to lose some space regardless of type. If not space then rear visibility. However, I chose the retractable cover for it security, durability and pore fuel savings (when closed). I don’t really have a need to haul anything substantial and thus the retractable was a great choice for me though it may not fit the needs of others. I would’ve considered one of the roll-up covers but they were more than the retractable (even with installation!) and aren’t as durable! The SyneticUSA cover is great and at a good price!

The distance from the back of the cover canister to its front is 17” as the cover is fully retracted.
