Trailer sway control switch

Need an opinion., My maverick has the trailer sway control switch that always defaults to on when you start the car, however i do not have a towing package,
nor do i plan on towing anything, if i drive with the switch off will the truck drive or handle differently?

It's just a factory setting to revert to "on" everytime for safety reasons. It really does work and should be left on.

I had this same question. These auto settings always slightly irritate me, like the engine shut off feature at traffic lights.
