Trailer hitch delete from order?

I have had an XLT with lux on order since Sept. Of course with no vin or production date yet. I figured I would drop the hitch that comes with the lux package to increase my odds. The dealer says they cannot drop the hitch without dropping the lux altogether. Any of yall know otherwise?

Dont drop hitch, it is not a constraint with luxury package. What delaer said is true.

I believe your dealer is correct. You could add in some of the features that come with the XLT package individually but not all of them. The hitch constraint is believed to be isolated to people adding a hitch outside of the luxury package.

Do you really want/need the hitch and lux package? If you can live without them then removing the hitch & lux package from your order may get your Maverick built. I placed an order for an XLT Hybrid with hitch and mud flaps in Sept 22, removed them and added the spray in bed liner and cargo management system in Feb, 4 weeks later got an email from Ford saying mine was scheduled to be built in May. It worked for me but can’t guarantee it’ll work for you too.

[/Q I have lost my patience with Ford and All American, I have a 23 maverick that has a stop sale order since March13 because of a trailer wiring problem that has nothing to do with the truck safety. Numerous calls to the empty heads in Michigan proves that Ford could care less. The 2024 will be out before the truck ever leaves All American
