Got some snow and ice coming and have a 200 mile trip tomorrow. Wondering if I have the traction control on does it effect mileage and if so how much?? Thanks in advance 👍

Since TC uses the brakes, obviously it will, but probably not very much. Pushing through snow is likely to have much more effect.

Assumptions here: Since the hybrid uses regenerative braking to charge the battery, and I assume traction control braking interacts through regen braking, it would follow that there would not be a significant penalty using traction control. But since safety is the overriding consideration, I personally wouldn't not use TC just to eke out better mpg.

I drive both TC on and off and the mpg still the same on both instances. So no it won’t affect your mpg. But this cold weather will. I’m averaging 3 mpg less than before. Time to trade it in for an EB

Traction control activates when you lose traction. Why would driving with it on affect your gas mileage?
If you're losing traction constantly, maybe, but then you should reconsider whether driving at that time is a good idea.

No it should not. Will help keep you on the road. Drive safely. Go slower if need be.
