Quick question, our XLT order has been shipped and is in Chicago. It still needs to be delivered to Iowa. The tracker states in "Final Preparation" does anyone know what that means? Thanks!

Our XLT was in Final Preparation too. I contacted the sales rep at Astoria Ford on Friday (3/4) wondering where it was. He told me that the vehicle had been "damaged beyond repair while in transit" and was sitting at a dealership in Florida. So much for that. Good thing our Scion xB still has plenty of good miles left on it.Quick question, our XLT order has been shipped and is in Chicago. It still needs to be delivered to Iowa. Can you share a screenshot of your timeline? Lots of people have thought that simply having a white dot near "Final Preparation" means that they are in this phase, which is incorrect. Your dealer may be telling the truth if this process is misunderstood.Yes my maverick that I placed last June had a delivery date that just disappeared and for over a week says in final preparation I called my salesman and he checked on what was going on and told me about a chip shortage I’m not quite convinced about that answer.
This is exactly what I meant from my first message. The tracker was updated to show "Final Preparation" for everyone so that you would know when your dealer received it and was performing inspections, cleaning, etc. This is my timeline from ford motor company.

The ETA was removed for everyone, not for the chip hold. Mine is on the way (as I have been tracking with the rail company) and do not have an estimated delivery date. They likely removed this date so that people would stop calling the help center when a certain date passes.Hi Patty I when looking into why your eta disappeared I found out the truck is currently on a chip hold, that would be my best guess as too why the eta went away
It sounds like...you have an ulterior motive to buy e-bikes and want an excuse to get upset with to sway your wife's opinion on an unrelated purchase? My truck has supposedly reached the 'Final Preparation' stage. I would expect this to be taking place at the local Ford dealer where we ordered the pickup; however, the Maverick isn't there. I'm fed up with Ford & their ordering game & will contact salesman, Chris Look, at Astoria Ford tomorrow & ask to see & test drive my truck. If it isn't there, then I'm done waiting & will order a couple of e-bikes so my wife & I can at least ride up & down the beach.
Sad. I placed my order 6/15/2021 my husband is getting very upset with ford because he is driving me around and we are down to 1 car. We need this second vehicle soon. This is exactly what I meant from my first message. Your truck is absolutely not in final prep and is still in the building phase (not even shipped yet). Due to the extended period of time I would agree that you are affected by the chip shortage and that your salesperson is right. I can tell that this is the current phase because you can see a white circle around the white dot in the built section (indicating that this is where you are in the process).
I'm sorry that you're frustrated; you're definitely not alone. I hope it arrives soon.Sad. I placed my order 6/15/2021 my husband is getting very upset with ford because he is driving me around and we are down to 1 car. We need this second vehicle soon.
