Anyone have a recommendation for Oxford White touch up paint for ‘23 Maverick. Just a small door ding. See lots on Amazon but most say for F-150. Thanks & thanks for all the other great information on this forum
The paint code is the paint code. If it seems like a legit seller, and the reviews from the F-150 crowd are good, then you are safe. I bought some Cactus Gray from Amazon and it was a perfect match. I did not worry about what vehicle it had marketing for, just that the color code matched.
Pro Tip: Not all of them will send you a little test card and instructions to test it on the edge of the card first. The one I bought did. The card was not just white cardstock, but more of a grey base color on the paper. I assume to more closely replicate bare metal. You then do 2-3 coats of the color and then 1-2 coats of clearcoat on the edge/border of the card. Then compare to your truck to confirm you would not be slapping some weird color variant on there, doing more visual damage than if you had left the ding/scratch alone. I was surprised that the base color coats I did were not a perfect visual match, but when I put the clearcoat layer on, the color shifted to be perfect.
