2024 Lariat hybrid - no wind noise at freeway speeds [65-70mph]

Open both front doors and look towards the inner fender in front of the door hinges. There should be a black insulation "bag". It mostly blocks engine noise but it's absence could be the source of noise.

It's certainly more than any full size non FORD I've owned, but shouldn't be excessive. Check that your weather stripping seals are properly aligned and in place, and there are no major gaps between your windows and such.

Is this what you are talking about?
I found this loose in the left rear of the engine compartment and blocks off holes going to the door frame.

What type of vehicle are you coming from?
I am coming from a 2001 Ford Ranger - I don't hear any road noise.
If you're coming from a $50,000 or $75,000 SUV, you may.

Here are the part numbers. You'll need one of each.

Yes! That is the insulation. It should fit vertically in the space between the fender and near the firewall. If it is not properly installed and you can't do it, I would expect the dealer should do it under warranty.

P.S. I've had a 2022 Lariat EB and presently a 2024 Lariat hybrid and neither had excessive or even noticable wind noise. The Lariat does have a laminated windshield and that may also help with noise.

Agree. My 24 XLT hybrid is by far the quietest vehicle I have owned. No surprise that it's quieter than my 06 Mazda 6 4cyl/5spd, but it's also a lot quieter than our CR-V. I took a drive to the desert (2 lane highways) with my buddy whose car is a new Model Y, and he commented on how quiet the Mav was, even compared to his Tesla.

But I don’t want to remove the fender and probably other parts too. If I can access the area removing the wheel well cover them I should be able to solve the problem. I’ll know in a couple of days.

RE: Found this loose = I would try to get the dealer to place them in their proper location under warranty. Choose a good dealer with a body shop/collision repair department.
