Not for warranty....you can buy a replacement, of course.

Good morning, Cancunbadlands.

Normally I would agree that at the very least, measure the tread on the tires to try and keep the same diameter tires on all 4 corners.

It is my thought that if the tires have only been used for 5 weeks, there should be minimal wear difference and should need only the repair or replacement of the offending tire, depending on how bad it is.

The OP should get/have a tire tread depth guage and verify their actual wear between all the tires and go from there...But I wouldn't think two tires would need to be replaced.

As for the original query, only the OP would know what his tire coverage says is covered and then look at the tire and what damaged the tire...if that isn't clear, a quick call to ask if the tire damage is or is not covered would confirm if they are out of pocket or not.

Have a good day,

Andy

That's correct, the "only 5 weeks" makes the difference

I don't believe you get any road hazard warranty with new tires from a new vehicle unfortunately. But when you get new tires I recommend the road hazard warranty. Had my factory Michelins replaced August 28th with Goodyear Assurance A/S's Friday night with only 6,000 miles had to swerve and hit curb median and took a huge chunk out of tire. Only had to pay $60 for mounting/installing and new road hazard warranty on that tire as opposed to the roughly $220 it would have been without the warranty. So hope this helps anyone on the fence about getting road hazard warranty in the future. Sorry OP doesn't really help you out.
