There are a lot of us on the forum waiting for their Maverick. Sometimes we need to be creative to get the job done until the Maverick arrives.
Here is the trusty Gen2 Escape bringing home a patio table where the glass top was destroyed by a hail storm. Securely strapped to a cargo carrier for transport.
It will be rebuilt with a cedar top.

Anyone else want to share pictures of their creative solution that would have been a job for the Maverick.

Was the table on Americas funniest home videos? That's where most glass table tops go to die.

I put a fridge on a hitch carrier some years ago. Nice work!

I didn’t ask the neighbor where I picked it up. Hail storms are so frequent in this part of the country I don’t understand why people buy glass tables. Maybe it is for the video footage.

Do you think the Maverick would have carried that any better? Seems like your method might have been the same with the Maverick.

Drop tailgate, flip table upside down (or lay on its side), place in bed, strap down. No reduction in departure angle, and cargo is mostly contained in case of a tie-down failure.

Yes, upside down in the bed with tailgate down. Table is about 40"x60", so an easy fit.
