I’d not have purchased this, if this side of the splash guard had been shown.
It’s more like a mud catcher.

Personally I would remove the screw with the metal clip and use a oem plastic push pin instead.

I get it that the brace with the bolt and the clip makes the mud flap more rigid but that is a stupid design.

My 16 F-150 had the same design on the rear mud flaps from Ford, I just reversed the clip in the bolt so the head was on the inner part of the fender well. Might be hard to tell from the pictures

Yeah I flipped my bracket and screw around as well.

Plastic fasteners would also be preferred, the metal clips were difficult to put in place without scraping the paint off the metal fender tabs. (Hit mine with paint any place I was worried about)
