Tear Tag?

I've been watching my order on the OrderTrack tracker since I got the VIN and window sticker on 6/29. She went into production on 7/8 and the modules populated on 7/9. The 'Tear Tag' line on the module page has been blank until today where it's populated with a four character alpha-alpha-alpha-numeric code.

Does anyone know what this tear tag code is and/or the significance of its appearance?

I just got the same thing today. Don't know what it means though.

I could be wrong, but I believe the presence of the Tear Tag # just means DONE, the vehicle has rolled off the production line now and is finished. Normal for it to be one of the last fields that populates.

My BCE modules are no longer populated nor do I have a "Tear tag" number any longer.
