Hello all, just joined up, been following the Maverick news since I first heard about it months ago.

Coming off of a couple F150 ('15 & '18) leases, really considering the Maverick as my next truck. I'm not sure why I'm so fascinated with it, maybe some similar appeal to a Honda Element I used to have years ago, and really liked. I like the simple, purposeful design & features. Only real concern at this point is interior size, as I haven't been able to sit in one yet. I did sit in a Bronco Sport, and was impressed with the room, given the foot print, and am expecting the Mav to be similar.

Thinking about turning in an order for a 2.0 AWD Lariat high option in Cactus Grey. I have x-plan available if I can find a dealer that will take it.

Was also considering big Bronco & ('23)Ranger, but I think will be really long waits.... :(

I think the maverick will be cool, however if I had the cash I would have loved a BIG Bronco. The overall package of the Mav, and if any real (Over 2 inch ) lifts come out, it should be quite fun.

The new ranger isn't expected until Q3 2023 now which is a huge bummer. You'll likely get a Maverick much sooner than a big bronco despite demand imo. The Mav actually has a slightly roomier cabin than the current Ranger, I say go for it if you don't need the capability of the big boys.

Yeah, I also read about the new Ranger delay. Since it's based on the Bronco platform, kinda makes sense I guess. Also agree about the current Ranger interior, it's cramped & a not-so-appealing layout. Really love the Bronco, but don't wanna wait most likely a couple years to get one, and not willing to pay stupid money for it either.

The Mav sure seems like a legit bargain, as new car prices go. Getting a loaded up Lariat for mid-30's seems like a super value.

My F150's were overkill for what I do, but man I loved them both, awesome trucks. The Mav will definitely be at the limit for my towing, which is right around 4K, but only a couple times a year, so I think it would be fine. Payload is almost as much as my F150!

I see you're in Ohio, if you're serious about an order you might want to look to the Pennsylvania dealer (Chapman?) I think they are still offering 3% below invoice on the 2.0. That is below invoice - a lot of people miss that detail. I bought from Grangrer in Iowa myself (4 hour drive from MN) - on a fully spec'd Lariat that is going to save you in the neighborhood of $2,500 - well worth a short trip for the savings.

Assuming you find a local x-plan friendly dealer (some won't accept it, there have been other posts here about dealers backing out of accepting it as well...) you're only going to save a couple hundred bucks if that.

Yeah, I've been reading through some of the dealer threads, 3% under invoice for a low MSRP vehicle is hard to beat. That will be step 2, securing a dealer, TBD....

I thought chapman stopped doing the 4% they were doing? I think granger is still doing 3% though?

I was at state fair of Texas last week sat in Maverick, and toyota tacoma, can tell you this much Maverick has more room in back then the tacoma, and from the specs I have read has more cabin room than the current ranger!

Coming from a supercrew F150, I'm totally spoiled with interior room. The current Ranger is a no-go. Bronco Sport was doable from an interior standpoint, so I'm hoping the Mav will be similar. Most days it's just me & my pup (70# German Shepherd), but I do have two rather large teenage boys that will *occasionally* need to ride with me in the Mav. As long as I can fit decently in back, behind my seat as adjusted, we're good. Neither is as big as me (6'4")....yet... ;)
