I wasn’t very happy with any of the other 3D printed tailgate covers. They have unnecessary overhangs and support or poor fitment. They also leave the drain holes open to dirt from above.

This set fits the tailgate stamping exactly and covers every hole from falling debris. The big cable passthrough, the empty (on mine) square hole, and the 6 drain holes. The drain holes are just covered from above. So they are still open to the bottom to let water out.

What material did you use and what 3d printer did you have?

I printed these in PLA, but if you live somewhere very hot you probably want to use a higher temp plastic. PLA softens around 140 F. Luckily, where I live, the outside of the truck will never hit those temperatures.

My machine is a Bambu Lab P1S.

If you want to print it yourself, many public libraries now have a maker space where you can use 3D printers for free. You can also pay for online printing services like Xometry or Shapeways.

Thank you, is the parts measured in MM?

Yes the part is in mm, although it shouldn’t matter.

For what it’s worth, the Ford tailgate stampings are also dimensioned in mm.

For those who can't print, you should still be able to get a really good one from @P99Guy:

I have had his unvented one in my truck for a year, through a whole Texas summer, and it has held up great. It is far better than the Mabett ripoff on Amazon etc.
Thanks! They are still available.
For Those that want to print their own, PETG seems to work well. ASA, ABS and Nylon also work but cost more and are sometimes harder to print well.

I agree, P99Guy's version is excellent and the delivery was very quick.

just printed the large and small square covers for my 25 Lariet. Quick print. I had some carbon fiber infused PETG which works fine. Going to print out an extra set just in case.

Thanks. It’s an flsun qqspro. Must be 5 years old now. Pretty happy with the brand. I also have a kingroom resin printer thats good but messy. both printers are a bit fickle since I always buy the cheapest stock. So never keep the same settings. if I were buying new I’d try this one… https://www.amazon.com/Flsun-Delta-...567&sr=8-15&store_ref=bl_ast_dp_brandLogo_sto
I think the deltas are cool, I have a couple workhorse X1’s and just picked up an H2D.
