You must have misread whatever was showing on the screen in your Maverick. While Ford has not officially cancelled the Sync 5 software they have officially announced that moving forward Ford vehicles will start using the Ford Digital Experience.

Didn't see it on the Maverick in-vehicle screen. It was a pop-up when I logged into the owner information pages at ford.com. Already pretty well established that it didn't apply to my vehicle, one way or the other. Thanks.
