My Wife works at a food bank, Simple Truth , made for the low income employees at the big hospitals around Orlando. Sometimes they have extra produce left over, and we give it out to people in our neighborhood and also a local church. This week we had an extra 560 lbs. of SWEET POTATOES.

I've had 1300 lbs in the back for a multi day trip. Was fine. Just my headlamps pointed up. So I adjusted them down. Very easy to do in 30 seconds with a + screwdriver.

I put 800 - 900 pounds in my bed at least 2 to 4 times a month.

It is a truck after all.

I like headlights that are easy to adjust, for nowadays they make some stuff so difficult. Matter of fact , I change out my 2000 accent heater core out last year, took 2 days. Even back then they made some things hard. Hyundia wanted $1700.00. Heater core was behind the main cross member on the dash. Heater core was$20.00

Good deed on your part, but I'm stunned there are employees in US HOSPITALS that are paid so little they need to rely on food banks for subsistence! With the billions of dollars that health companies make?

This is revolting

A lot of it is lack of financial knowledge.
And the cost of, everything.
An orderly or a cafeteria worker needs to pick a better trade. They’ve already learned to work hard and Be on time and trustworthy.
It’s on the worker to choose to better themselves.
The hospital would be forced to pay better if people would choose not to work for low wages.

Good work and good pay is out there.
I’ve never worked for low wages and I have no useless college degrees.

I’m so tired of everybody blaming someone else for self imposed life hardships.

Cafeteria help, janitors, housekeeping. Single Moms and Dads with kids.
There is a lot of blue collar people that are needed for the small jobs too.
And big businesses. do not always like to pay people a good wage.

200 years ago, minimum wage consisted of that which was necessary to keep a slave alive and productive. Minimum food, clothing and shelter.
Except for the fact that one may quit one’s job, not much has changed.

Your comments are short cited. You make life sound so simple. If it was that easy everyone would be equally rich. Many always have someone or something blame. But, if you look at facts and history there are plenty to blame for creating hardships and suffering. All while blaming the ones taken advantage of. Happy Holidays!

It is that easy, I know a single mom with two kids that were abandoned by a useless man.
She now has a PHD and makes bank.
Did it all on her own.

I do not defend the lazy or those that lack the necessary drive or ambition.

I’m one of those that takes full responsibility for my life choices. I blame no one, ever.
I’ve never needed unemployment assistance, never needed a government handout.
The world owes me nothing.
