I am also having a ridiculous amount of knocking. I had a small click but tightened up the sway bar nuts and that stopped it temporarily but it got worse tonight. I have tightened everything I can see and can’t figure out what is making that terrible sound. It’s like a big knocking sound right behind the foot rest. Any guesses?

Get under it and check for play otherwise it's just guessing. Too many parts that can cause it.

Had the same problem what it was the bar that attachs to the front strut and the swaybar came lose. you turn the wheel to the right reach up and tighten the bolt on both sides. Also do the top one. The problem tends to be the bottom one. Did the driver side one then the passenger side one went. Had to tighten the bolts 2 times and so far so good.

Now im having a problem with the rear I will look into it tomorrow. I have to say dealer warrenty has been horrible I wouldnt buy another ford ever.

I´m from México.

Ford Maverick 2023 2.0 Ecoboost Lariat AWD

First CV Axle issue started at 3000 Km and the dealer detected the issue at 4000 Km. The dealer changed of the driver side the cv axle, the bearing and all the piece the piece that houses it .

Ford Mexico says that its an isolated case.

My truck remains in the shop due to a knock sound in another place while doing parking maneuvers.

Ford Mexico close my report for second time

Now I´m searching return my truck to change because its an security risk.

I am having this issue as well on my 2022 XLT AWD. Loud clunk at low speeds while turning & when parking the vehicle.

Has there been a definitive answer for this issue? Seems like an issue that deserves a TSB at this point…

Hopefully the Ford rep on here can provide some answers?

I'm having this issue too. What can I tell the dealer when I take it in aside from a popping noise when parking it? Wondering what others have said.
So there's this issue, rattles in the doors, bent glasses holder on the ceiling, popping drivers sun visor, and of course the infamous dash pop. Sounds like they may have my truck for weeks.

Same clunking sound from drivers side, almost sounded like a broken strut mount. Replaced shocks, still there. 🤔Noticed a small amount of play in the drivers side cv axle however slight play is normal however I was still concerned. Ordered some new greaseable end links because I noticed the factory ones look like a one time use part. Guess what sound is completely gone! Thinking dealerships know these end links are garbage but will sell you on a strut because their replacing the end links anyway. If your going to be using this mini truck off road I'd recommend swapping out your end links. If anyone's interested I used Mevotech Front & Rear Sway Bar Links For Ford Bronco Sport 2021-2022 off ebay.

Thanks for this info. I have a suspension noise and it seems to me to be either bushings or control arms. I have replaced these parts on other Fords before but didn't expect to have an issue on a 23 with 14K on it. I will first make sure one of the links is not loose..as one person already found on his...and then order this kit and replace if mine have no visible issue. I have a 7 year warranty ext but I'll try this first before bringing it to Ford. If it is a strut or control arm they are going to be the ones replacing it. I only seem to hear the problem on the drivers side at this time.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Received the Mevotech sway bar end links and they are not as high quality as I thought they would be! They do have grease fittings (one came with only one!!) and one link had rips in both ends of the boot seals and the package was sealed! The boots are NOT as thick and heavy duty as the stock ones. I am not sure how long these things will last but I would not use them again. IF I had to reorder (and one I will have to) I will either go with Moog or buy the higher end version of these that Mevotech sells.

Replacing the stock ones was a PITA. You really need two jacks esp. if you are changing the rear ones to help line up the holes with the end link bolts to make it easier to install. Also you need to make sure they are installed properly so that you can access the grease fittings. 50 50 chance it will be messed up if you do not pay attention to where the fittings are.

Replaced three of my sway bar links and waiting for Rockauto to send me a replacement unit. So far since I replaced the 3 links I have not heard the clunking noise on my drivers side on sharp turns going over bumps or stopping abruptly with the truck wheel turned sharply. Hopefully the swap bar end link replacements permanently fixed the issue. I pumped additional grease into the fittings until I saw the plastic (rubber ??) boots expand in size.

I just had this too. My Maverick is just shy of 3 years old, only has 23,500 kms (14,600 miles) on it. Mostly city and highway, but some gravel road usage. I baby it, so was surprised to hear a front suspension clunk develop, slowly getting worse. I paid $150 Cdn for a detailed inspection, and they found left stabilizer link worn, replaced it under warranty. Cheap parts IMO, if they wear out that fast.
