Have started to see a number of posts concerning orders placed after mine receiving VIN and production status. Nothing yet concerning my order. My order is for an XLT and the ones receivung better status are Lariat. is it a case of follow the money

A Lariat with no or, perhaps, one constraint getting built versus an XLT with several constraints is not a case of Ford following the money. It is a case of Ford following the parts available that is needed to build a truck.

You never mention what you ordered on your XLT. If it is "bare bones" you have a reason to be agitated. Otherwise, you can wait and try to be more patient like a lot people on this forum are doing.
