The pH level of coffee is close to 4.85 to 5.10 with 7 being neutral. More than likely little to no damage will result once it dries.

I was not so lucky when I spilt cola in my Mustang. The cola ate the PC board in my mirror control switch that was located in the center console. Cola has a pH of 2.5 to 2.7. I was able to fix it by soldering a few wire bridges over the breaks in the connections.

Never have an open cup in the center console. Get a mug or bottle with a screw top to prevent those spills.

Almost 10 k miles on my hybrid with no issues whatsoever, but today I spilled most of a cup of coffee on the shifter and electronic parking break lever. In traffic so it had to sit for a minute until I could stop and clean up. Does not seem to be an issue, but it does seem like a design flaw, particularly placing the recessed parking brake lever which will hold liquids right next to the cup holder.

As this is unfortunately not an unusual occurrence for me, just wondering if anyone has had any issues, or has been inside that panel to see if Ford has done anything to mitigate this being a problem, such as seals, drainage away from any electrical components, etc.

All in all not a big deal, but thought I would see if any of you experts had any thoughts.
