Just curious if the satellite windshield was the same Ford SoundScreen acoustic windshield, or do they use a generic? Curious if you found any difference in them if not an OEM windshield? (Sound, any issue with wiper heating element after, etc). I don’t know much about how the features of the lariat windshield can be replicated by a third party. Thanks for any feedback!
Safelite ordered the Windshield from Ford. So it's the same as the one I had except without the rattle that came from the factory!

Alright I’ve learned a lot over the last two weeks. The line through the Sound Screen logo is indeed a heater element for the windshield wiper. It starts at that logo and works it way down through the glass (if you look closely in the black area of the glass) you will also see the additional heater lines. In regards to the windshield ticking sound it is caused by plastic alignment pieces in the top corners of windshield rubbing a metal alignment hole in the headliner. Long story short my dealer worked with a glass provider to replace my windshield. After installation of the new windshield the ticking was noticeably worst. Instead of calling the dealer I called the glass company and they sent a installer out. He acknowledged the ticking (which he described as very uncommon) and agreed to remove the plastic the two plastic alignment pieces from each upper
corner of the windshield. With those gone the ticking is gone! He explained that the plastic alignment pieces (picture attached of a removed one. Should have longer piece come off of it but it broke) on the OEM windshield are used for robot alignment at the factory. When you have a windshield replaced with an OEM windshield (like in my case) these alignment tabs come installed on the windshield and they typically aren’t removed by the installer; hence why my new windshield had the same ticking sound as the factory installed one. He also explained that an aftermarket windshield does not have these alignment tabs. Long story short the ticking noise we’ve been hearing is coming from the windshield plastic alignment tabs rubbing on the metal alignment hole in the headliner area. This can be remedied by either removing the plastic alignment tab from the windshield or breaking the cylindrical piece that comes of the tab so it doesn’t come in contact metal alignment hole.
