Just wanted to share my experiences with the purchase (April 2024) and warranty repairs for my SnugTop canopy. the cost was in the mid $3K range which included color match to body, sliding windows on each side, a removable window in front, and locking handle on the back lift gate. It is the model which sits about 4 inches higher than the cab roofline. It took about 8 weeks to receive the canopy after purchase. After installation, I noticed the color match was darker than the truck body and was told it would fade a little. The electrical connection box (3rd brake light and interior lights/USB ports) was pretty flimsy sheet metal screwed into the back window frame. The wire connectors came out of the plug within 5 miles of driving it so I went back to the dealer, who bent the sheet metal over to get to the plug, and the tech plugged the wires back in and crimped them a little. Then he bent the sheet metal back so the connection box was back against the shell. Every morning I would sweep up fiberglass strands which fell off the interior into the truck bed. The interior fit and finish (gel coat) was horrible. I took a green scrubbing pad and for 2 hours tried to get all the loose strands off the interior. It still was falling off when I returned it to the dealer. Within 2 weeks after install I noticed water coming into the bed from the front and sliding window frames. The sidewalls of the canopy are tapered inward so the water could not drain out the exterior drain holes and went down the window track into the bed. The front window is also angled in. i started contacting SnugTop, via their website, and received no responses. I got in tough with the BBB and CA Attorney General office and filed complaints. SnugTop did not respond to their inquires or letters. I contacted Leer Group (TAG) and after three contact forms received a response to send them pictures. I sent the pictures and they told me to work with the dealership where I bought the canopy. I contacted the dealership and they asked for pictures. I sent them pictures and after 3 weeks they said to bring the canopy back for warranty repairs. This is when I found out SnugTop had moved manufacturing operations from CA to Mexico. I was told warranty repairs would take 4 weeks and they removed my gas cap cover to send back for color matching. After 4 weeks I went to the dealer and they called Leer. Apparently there were production delays and they now needed an additional 4 weeks to complete the warranty repairs. I sent 16 emails to Leer trying to find out the status and not a single one was answered. The dealership called me and said production work was done and they were hoping it would be on a delivery truck for arrival next week. Sorry for the long thread but I think the customer service issues should be fixed. unless They replaced the sliding windows with pop out windows I don’t see how they can fix the water leakage. we will see!

Maybe your expectations are a bit high?

It’s is a design issue - simple physics. If your drain holes are not at least parallel to the window track upon install there is no chance the water will drain anywhere other than to the interior of the window track.

Well I won't be buying one of them. Thanks for the heads up.
