SiriusXM Traffic/Travel Link vs. SiriusXM Radio

The Lariat Luxury Package lists "SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link® includes a five (5)-year prepaid subscription" and "SiriusXM® Radio".

I thought that meant I have SiriusXM Radio for 5-years, but I just received an email from Ford stating I only have a 3-month trial.

• Does "SiriusXM" not include satellite radio?

It only comes with a SiriusXM Radio 3 month Trial.

SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link is something else, never used it so actually not sure how that works.

No wonder I don’t know what it is. My 2022 doesn’t have Ford Navigation.

So it's basically pointless if you use Apple Maps or Google Maps. Wish it was a 5-year subscription to the radio, I'd actually use that lol

It would be helpful if you are someplace with poor cell coverage (or if you don't have a smartphone if that is possible.)

Travel link will show Traffic info and other things like gas prices and points of interest.
Waze does a much better job IMO, Travel link is not worth the price after the free goes away!

Nothing can compete with Google Maps, and it's free!

I used to laugh every time a delivery person said "I'm trying to find your place, but I'm lost... Google Maps keeps sending me to [insert random place here]." Same thing with Waze. Both seem great in urban and suburban areas, but maybe not-so-great out in the boonies...

Apple Maps, TomTom, Garmin, and even MapQuest would take people right to my gate. Google Maps usually sent them 50 miles away to a different city, wrong street, etc. It just didn't handle "private road" addresses well at all...
