I decided to modify the side makers into turn signals like so many others on this forum have done and I used the GadCAD3d.com lenses. I ordered Smoke but they mistakenly sent me Frost. After contacting them about the error they could not have been more accommodating and sent me the correct color that same day. Better yet, they said I could keep the Frost pair which is great because I like them too and may change them out one day. I love doing business with a company that stands behind their products.

Looks nice. How did you wire it up to the vehicle?

There are plenty of threads on this forum on how to do it if you just search, but the jist of it is to tap into the 3 wires at the signal/parking lights. One is ground, one is the turn signal, and the other is the parking light. Buy a couple of LED side marker lights. Amazon is a good source for them. These are the lights that Truckers use a lot of on their trailers and rigs. If you want turn signal and parking light function be sure you get a 3 wire LED. Drill a 3/4 hole in the side marker to fit the LED into and you are good to go. You don't even need to remove the marker to drill because there is a lot of room behind it with nothing in the way, That makes it easy to run the wires to the parking lamps too. It's a really easy project.

Thanks for the information! I think the hard part would be splicing into the wires.

I did that mod using the GadCad2 amber lens to match the side lights and to get an OEM look. As stated in this post, no need to remove the side emblem. Drill in place. You can find the button style amber LED lights in many places online.

I used a new 3/4" paddle bit. Drill a pilot hole first. I ordered 15 feet of 4 conductor 22ga stranded wire in cable form and wired it into the the side marker light on the driver's side. Then ran the cable to the passenger side emblem. I used small zip ties to secure the cable plus some friction electrical tape where needed.

I soldered and taped the connections using automative friction electrical tape, not ordinary shiney tape. I don't trust the tap style connectors.
