I just mounted these same tires and my new wheels also. This tire is so much nicer and better looking that the poop stock 225's. though now that they are on, I think the next time I need new tires I will go to a 235

I imagine it depends pretty heavily on the specific tire as not all 235’s are the same weight. But I think the fuel mileage sticker on these is the same whether optioned with the 225 or 235, except in Tremor trim

Had a friend with a tire machine swap all 4 and put stems back in the steelie set for $100.

Good to know that 17s are the smallest we can run. The old Rangers had that issue where models before 02 could run 15s but anything newer had to run 16s which at the time I owned mine were pretty hard to find.

Are the new tires bigger in diameter? If so is the speedometer no longer correct? Not sure if there is some way to correct it? Yea aggressive tread loses MPG. My snow tires lose me 2 MPG on suv I have now . They look great on your Mav.

Yes they are larger and It reads about 1mph off.

I'll need a new set of wheels and thinking of throwing snow tires on the steelies...no reason you can't run a set of wheels without the TPMS sensors right? Aside from having the error light lit up

TPM's at tire rack are only 27 bucks a piece. I think its worth it. up to you 108 bucks for 4.
