I ordered the FX4 pkg strictly for the instrument cluster and wheels, as I don't plan to change the stock 17's. @Blvckrose, what springs did you use to lower yours?

I'm curious about lowered FX4s. Why do folks pay for the light off road FX4 package when they intend to lower the trucks? Not being a wise guy, just geniunely curious. I could see order 4K for instance and lowering it becuase of the quickness off the line and extra engine, oil and trans cooling potential. Is the FX4 package ordered for the underbody protection for a lowered vehicle?

I myself would’ve paid the $800 option just for the better instrument cluster but also has bigger cooling radiator & fan along with trailer hitch different/black wheels and frame mounted tow hooks (w/different lower valence for the tow hooks) different/upgraded rear shocks and different modes including hill descent as well as the under body protection you mentioned - best / cheapest bang for your bucks option available in my humble opinion. But I didn’t plan on lowering mine at first either until I seen them (I like raised & lowered) but again its just great seeing how many people are actually customizing them all to their own likes

Maybe remove the FX4 decals, and paint the red tow hooks body color or black. That way it doesn't look like you lowered an "off road" version.

I like it. I have my Eibach springs ready for my drop. Still need camber bolts and I can do it this spring. My truck in my avatar pic is "photoshop lowered" it's still up in the air for now lol.
