I follow them on instagram. that was a shop truck and if it was customer-owned it would have easily been 30k in modifications.

so, I can see people bidding it up to 30k and beyond. I'll be surprised when/if it crosses 45k, though.

Slap on a drunk, put the indents on the door, and call it a "mustang".

OTOH, it was the best selling mustang, ever!

The one thing I do not miss from these older versions is the amount of play in the steering.

When I got my '72 Impala 400, something seemed familiar about how it drove.

After a couple of weeks, it hit me: my friend's father had a small yacht! It was the slight delay between turning the wheel and getting any response . . .

Carburetors sucked big time yes.

A recurring theme on my Cadillac's forums:

"I just got a Cadillac! I want to replace the quadrate with fuel injection."

Uhh, don't do that. It's never as good.

"No, I know what I'm doing"

Look in the archives.

"I've put in fuel injection. I'm still working on it."

Uhh, yeah. sure.

"I've pulled off the fuel injection and put the quadrate back on!"

I should add that the delay in turning was distinct from the loose play in the wheel (which wasn't too bad on that car, iirc). First take up the play, and then move wheel through actual range, and then wait a couple of moments.

I've never bought from BaT but my understanding is that it has sniping protection, adding 2 minutes to the auction end time automatically if there are bids.

I wouldn't expect to see more bids until near the end, anyway.
