I'm not sure I have 500 miles on my 2024 Maverick XLT. I purchased her about six weeks ago and today when I was removing some things from the passenger floorboard, I noted that the seatbelt on the driver's side is wearing the fabric on the driver's right hand bolster. Seems very weird for a brand new truck to have this problem. Anyone else experience this ? Any thoughts?
Thanks,

Welcome!

I have about 12k miles on my Maverick and am not seeing any wear on the seats from anything, including the seatbelts. If you get time, post a pic of what you're talking about.

Hey, thanks for posting your thoughts "O-Beard"! I'm chagrined to admit that I jumped the gun and that I believe the ware that I thought I saw, was actually suntan lotion and wiped off easily with a wet cloth. I had previously treated the seats with some 3M protectant and it looks like it paid off. So no issues yet, but appreciate knowing what to be on the lookout for. Best steve. (a beard in southeast Texas!)

ADD: I love my new truck having given up and sold my 31-year-old Chevy half ton. It's amazing how much is loaded into the truck for what I thought was a pretty fair price. Here's hoping it does better than it's Maverick predecessor! Steve

Be very leery of any oils, lotions, etc. They can discolor the interior materials, sometimes permanently. Particularly the plastics, which are mostly recycled material.
