First time poster, finally got my hybrid ford maverick with rear sliding window. Having a difficult time deciding between Retrax mx, roll n lock a, or the bak x4s. Read thru multiple posts about all three. Just trying to get more opinions on which one would be better to fit my needs. On my 09 F150 5.5 ft bed I have a Retrax cover and it still looks great, never leaked and works with no issues with over ten years of abuse. I was heavily leaning towards getting another retrax but worried about losing a foot on the already short bed. My old truck there were times (20 percent of the time) where I had wish the canister had a smaller footprint. So then I found the roll n lock cover would be the best option but the price. Is the canister really that much smaller? You still lose a little bit of space made me think the bak x4s might be a better fit. Then knowing I will have this truck for ten + years I am worried about the longevity of the roll n lock and the bak x4s with the harsh Florida sun. Not mention with the bak x4s from my research the front may leak at the rear of the cab and the visibility you lose when rolled up.
Main needs, security, stays relatively dry inside (road trips and such), cover longevity (operation, fading), try to maximize space in the bed when covered.
Appreciate the input.
