I have a Maverick that I am repairing that had blown airbags. I have researched it and found that when the airbags deploy it locks the RCM. I sent it into a service in Georgia that claimed they could reset all modules, including the 2022 Maverick. They received the computer and said they were unable to reset the computer.

Does anyone have any experience with this, can Ford reset the RCM, or is this just a part that needs to be replaced?

If I order a new module from Ford, does it come programmed ready to be installed in the vehicle?

Thanks

No, you would have to replace every module related to the safety restraint system, if Ford is still doing what they did 10-20 years ago, the modules related to the airbag stuff, will be a blue color

EDIT: Modules are no longer blue in color:cautious:
