Been driving my Maverick for about 6500mi, XLT. Been great although had a very strange issue crop up this last week.

Seems the module that makes the seatbelt aware that it is in properly failed somehow. Checked online and it seems like it's either the belt or the buckle itself. No clue but it goes off constantly and terribly annoying.

Only other issue I have is rattling that I'm having the car looked at at the same time as well, but figure I'd post this one here for people to see. Will update when I get it in for repair 2wks from now.

Good morning! I would like to take a closer look at your Maverick's seatbelt sensor problems. Could you please send over your VIN, the name/location of your local Ford dealer, and some more details on your situation?

This happened to me as well. Got it fixed at the dealer who said it was a loose wire to the passenger belt buckle.

Let's hope that's it. First it was the airbag light, then today the rear passenger restraint warning.

Trying to balance work and visits to the dealer is rough.

Anyone know if ANY Ford dealership service departments are open on Sundays? Or even late Saturday?

These are the warnings that bother me.

Same problems for me but at the same time (rear passenger and air bag) warning. Luckily, it happened when the Ford Technicien was driving the tuck.

After verification (computer diagnostic), the problem was coming from the driver seatbelt buckle.

They ordered the new piece and it took 2 weeks to receive and change the faulty buckle.

This happened to me as well within 1 month of getting my Maverick in October 2021. Initially told the airbag connectors were loose under the driver’s seat, and after securing these the issue went away for about a month. Dealer checked it again, and ended up replacing the wiring harness for the airbags. I haven’t had the issue since.

I have a post in the forums from Nov 21 describing this issue.
