Good Evening,

Just looking to have a small back and forth conversation about the topic below. I only have access to the internet a few times a day due to a current deployment.

I've been reading some threads here on the forum about sequence numbers so I decided to look up my VIN. My Truck's VIN ends in NRA94479. I just purchased the truck last week from a dealership. I had my wife drive it in my garage because I am currently away on a deployment at the moment. I haven't seen it in person yet but I have some pictures. I guess my question is, where does this number fall with other builds from this year. Just wondering if this was a late model year or if it was a truck built months ago but couldn't be completed due to supply chain issues. Also, I was wondering if any small changes may have occurred during the 2022 model year. I think I read here on the forum that climate controls have changed. I haven't seen mine in person yet so I don't know which ones I have.
Thanks for the help.

You can’t tell by VIN but if she opens the drivers door there is a sticker that will give you the build date.
Yea, just like he showed.

Have your wife send a copy of the window sticker. The production date of your Maverick is on the sticker in one of the boxes on the bottom that says Retail Order or Special Order.

Thanks for your service! (y)

As @jsus said, VIN wont in itself help with manufacture date. It will only help with "When was the truck first selected by Ford to be produced sometime in the future". Your 94479 means you were the 94,479th Maverick to be given a production week. Mine is set to be built this week and I am B05275, which puts me at 105,275th Maverick to be selected for production. I was supposed to be built this time in October, but kept getting bumped. I am sure many, many Mavericks with higher VIN numbers than mine have already been built. So for me they are going "backwards" and building a truck with a lower VIN number.

The temperature being displayed on the selection knobs ended sometime about Mid-May. I would guess with your VIN number you will not have those knobs. My Lariat built in June does not have these knobs either. At first I was PO'd, but after getting the vehicle it, to me, is not a big deal. Both the driver and passenger temp selected is on the top of the display screen. Actually, easier to see. Of course, it is on both the knobs and screen of earlier built Lariats.
