I hope your right, but on last nights news it was revealed that GM was pulling heated steering wheels and seats from a number of their 2022 models due to the shortages.

In addition to The Weatherman's info on GM deleting heating steering wheels/seats from some models, the linked C&D article shares some much more expensive vehicles where features are being removed.

Other than changing some Maverick package specifications (ie the XLT Lux pkg now includes a drop-in liner vs spray-in, etc) I haven't heard of Ford de-contenting the Maverick. Anybody have any info to the contrary? I rather doubt Ford will de-content the Maverick during the 2022MY launch.

Can you imagine if your new $7oK+ BMW' came with a non-functional infotainment screen? I bet some of those buyers will be calling the their lawyers...and congressman...and anybody else who will listen to them vent their outrage. (I'm being sarcastic about calling their congressman, but with our recent society norms, who knows?)

Anyways, the article documents other manufacturers' work-arounds during the chip shortage.
