Replacement Windshield Delay

I had the recent misfortune of my XLT's windshield being hit by a rock on the highway resulting in an approx. 1.5 foot crack in the windshield. I'm working through my insurance and SafeLite to get the windshield replaced, but they recently told me the windshields are on backorder. This all started about 2 weeks ago, and I am still waiting. I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how long the backorders are? I'm in Florida if that makes a difference. Just trying to get some clue as to how long this is going to take.

My first took 13 days to get from Michigan to DFW, second one took 10 days.

I only had one breakage, but they goofed on the install so they ordered a second as a backup for when they re-set mine this coming Monday.

My Lariat replacement is scheduled for next Thursday, appointment made yesterday. I did get an email after the appointment confirmation saying there could be a delay.

The place that looked at my windshield to try and repair it but could not, called back and said they could get one in three to five days but could not calibrate the camera.

Will update if it shows up Thursday.

Edit: Safelight just called and said they had to special order the windshield from Ford.

7-10 day estimate, so won't be getting installed next Thursday.

How did you guys come out? I realize that April was a while ago, but I just got a hit by a rock and have a big crack across my windshield. Just wondering if the situation has gotten better or worse.
