Removing Soft Tonneau Cover Speed up Production?

I placed an order for my EB with a Soft Tonneau Cover. I've seen several posts where people have removed that from their order and miraculously their order got moved to production. Is this correct? Let me know what your experience has been.

It's been advised that if you can get it later from the dealer, remove it from your build and get it later.

I removed my cover back in September and the following week I got scheduled. I think there many other forum members here with a similar story.

I removed mine...and didn't get scheduled

But I removed it because I decided I really didn't want it; I want a hard roll-up instead and I can get an improved one from BAK for less than the Ford one.

That should be a no brainer the more options you put on from the factory the more chances that the parts won't be available your order will be delayed
