I have read that other Maverick owners are experiencing paint chip problems.

Has anyone had this problem with the Rapid Red?

Received my truck third week of February, I haven't seen anything yet. I also got the clear film on the front to stop that sort of thing.

I'm on 7 weeks of ownership. I've washed once a week and about 2 weeks ago applied the Adam's "Graphene Ceramic Coating" (buffing the entire truck 1st). Last week I also had Yakima Roof Rack Rails installed. This required drill holes (8 each side) for the rivet nuts and still the Rapid Red is an amazing paint / color! No defect or chipping so far.

Love my F-50 Maverick Rapid Red Lariat Hybrid. Drives like an electric vehicle at times.

Finally got my VIN and build week of May9 from the 800# this morning. I ordered my Rapid red first edition hybrid lariat on Jul 12 and should have it sometime in June...can't wait.

Mine is like yours, called also and have a 5/16th build week ordered 6/10

Picked up our RR First Edition Hybrid Luxury Package (April 13). First impression WOW Love the color and the decal’s. My humble opinion I love the interior. Ordered July 30 Picked up April 13. Feel very lucky. I know there are people that have been waiting a long time for their truck. Hang in there. I think you will love it once you receive it

They are supposed to offer that on the Maverick next year. I saw that truck at the Chicago show and have always liked that color. When I went to order mine they told me that color wasn't available and the only "red" was the hot chili red. I was hoping for closer to that than copper but... at some point, the paint will need refreshing and I will get the color I want.

Heard that Ford has discontinued Rapid Red for future models (& possibly Velocity Blue).
Always thought the Velocity Blue was the closest color of Ford Motor Company.
Thoughts?

I think Atlas Blue is phasing in to replace Velocity Blue and Lightning Blue.

We are fortunate as we are the last new vehicle owners of Rapid Red for retail order type sales ....... for now.

See if RR is offered when creating the Mach-e on Ford's ordering website when 2023 MY opens up.

This is what I heard and read (can't find the article) back in January. However, Ford (like all manufacturers) can change that in a whim.

Hopefully I am wrong. I like this color. Yeah I was thinking Velocity Blue or Cyber Orange, but I just like Rapid Red (enough to pay for it).
