For those going with Chapman, it looks like it goes CSX through NM -> Union Pacific up near Illinois -> Norfolk Southern for the rest of the way to Philly.

Looks like it has been released from the bad order status, looks like the hold was for something in the area the railcar sits on the wheelsI've been tracking my Maverick with the rail car number (TTGX986576) since it shipped on the 4th. It was scheduled to take just at two weeks with an estimated time of arrival "at industry" (which in my case is the Chicago Heights ramp) to wait for transport. The date has bounced forward and backward a couple of times over the last week as it's gotten closer, but last night the Union Pacific automated tracking system went straight to "bad order". I googled that and it looks to be about as bad as it sounds:
"Bad Order - A freight car loaded improperly, mechanically defective, or has safety violations."
Has anyone run into this in tracking their rail journey?
FWIW, I've learned more about trains in the last two weeks than I could have imagined![]()
Thank you for this detail! Looks like it'll make it to the destination ramp in a couple of days! Maybe I'll get lucky and she'll make it up Indy before the end of the year!Looks like it has been released from the bad order status, looks like the hold was for something in the area the railcar sits on the wheels

I used the CSX rail car tracking and noted each railyard it stopped at. It was at the destination yard(Offloading facility) for a while. I was never able to find out when it was loaded onto a truck. She's home and now has 1,500 miles on her.. Heading north on Thursday to see family.. She'll get another 1,500 miles on her then!Since I am also in SC and heard from my dealer that my Mav was sitting at a rail yard in southern IL, I love to hear how you are able to track from there. Have you received yours yet? If so, how long to ship from IL? What was your est date of arrival?
Edit: Just saw some of these answers on your profile.
Typically, yes; the cargo is usually fine.So "Bad order" is the opposite of "in good order"? A problem with the rail car not whatever it's carrying.
I suspect this is something special that I can’t obtain access to, but in the off chance that it’s not — how were you able to see this record of the rail car’s history?Looks like it has been released from the bad order status, looks like the hold was for something in the area the railcar sits on the wheels

I work in Intermodal so I have a little bit better access to the U.P. systemI suspect this is something special that I can’t obtain access to, but in the off chance that it’s not — how were you able to see this record of the rail car’s history?
My Maverick is also sitting in Yard Center, IL. My dealer said “final destination” is Cincinnati, but I think it’s also supposed to be Chicago Heights for me…
Assuming you have the rail car number.. when you call the UP automated phone system, does it give you an estimated delivery date to "industry"?I suspect this is something special that I can’t obtain access to, but in the off chance that it’s not — how were you able to see this record of the rail car’s history?

Yes, i have been following it with the number from my dealer, TTGX953186. It says estimated arrival at industry is December 21 at 2 am, so… 4 hours from now. But it still says “loaded, arrived yard center, IL”. This is why I assume it is meant to go to Chicago heights to offload. No way it gets to Cincinnati overnight, and I’ve heard the trackers are usually pretty accurate with delivery estimates.Assuming you have the rail car number.. when you call the UP automated phone system, does it give you an estimated delivery date to "industry"?
Have you tried tracking your VIN through United Road? If they're the road carrier, they'll show the railyard pickup point. I’m guessing it will probably be in the rail yard another day or two before making it’s way to the auto yard to offload, but I’m not sure how long that usually takes.
Sorry I wasn’t clear. I’m in NW Indiana, but my dealer told me: “we’re in the Cincinnati region, so that is where the truck should load off of the train”.Have you tried tracking your VIN through United Road? They changed the United Road site a few days ago and it doesn't have as much detail as it did.. but once it makes it to the Chicago Heights ramp tomorrow you should see it update to pending.. and to scheduled when it's scheduled for pickup and transport to your dealer.Sorry I wasn’t clear. I hadn’t heard of united road tracking yet. I just tried it and it knows that it is going to my dealer, but it just gives me a load number. I don’t see anything about a rail yard.
Ok, I made an account with united road and now I'm able to see all the information you're talking about. It is in fact destined for the Chicago Heights ramp, and I can see the pending status as well. Thank you for introducing me to this united road tracker!! You can search delivery history as well (by changing the date filter), and see how long it has typically taken for Bronco and Maverick vehicles to make it from that ramp to your dealership. It might give you a good feel for how long yours might take. For my dealership, it's varied from 3 days to 17. Fingers crossed for three!Ok, I made an account with united road and now I'm able to see all the information you're talking about. I can see the dates when previous vehicles were picked up and delivered, but it doesn't seem to show about when they arrived at the ramp (i.e "pending") to delivery. At the very least I know that they are being delivered next day after picked up from the ramp. You can search delivery history as well (by changing the date filter), and see how long it has typically taken for Bronco and Maverick vehicles to make it from that ramp to your dealership.
