As the title suggests, I have a few questions for those that BAP'ed (Used Zep on your headlights) your headlights.

- If you opened your headlights using an oven, what temperature/time did you use?
- If you used another method, what did you use and why?

I am planning on doing this mod soon, but I want to make sure I don't overcook my headlights.

Thanks in advance!

Years ago I baked my Tundra headlights to black out the inside. I don’t recall the temp but I’m sure you can find videos on YouTube. It wasn’t extremely hot maybe 250°f and it’s for about 15 minutes, remember you’re only wanting to soften the sealant not melt it. Have something thin and about 1/2” wide to be able to wedge and pry the sealant. You’re gonna want to use two wedges to pry one ahead of the other. When you’re ready to seal them up, put them back in for about the same time, close them up and use plenty of clamps all around to get an even seal. Some use additional sealant but I didn’t and never had any leaks.
