I have a question about replacing the tires on a 22 Ford Maverick lariat hybrid, I was wanting to know if there was any difference in going from a 225/60 R18 up to a 235/50 or as much as 255-265/50.
I have always loved the look of a 50 series tire but my question is now more of LT tires versus passenger car tires. I was noticing that for obvious reasons the passenger tire is a lot cheaper than the LT tires, but does it make a difference with the Maverick hybrid?
I’m not trying to modify the suspension, and I’m not in a position change out the rim/wheel at this time. So these new tires will be on the original factory lariat rim/wheels. I don’t really load down my truck with much when I haul things and the most I’ve had on the trailer has been a zero turn. The primary use of my maverick is commuting back-and-forth from my residence to my place of work. I have larger trucks when I need to haul or tow things.
