Question on engine under cover

Pretty sure I know the answer but just wanted to check. Changed oil today on my hybrid and I noticed on the undercover it was missing the trap door that goes where the drain plug is. Is it supposed to have a small snap in cover or not?

I saw mine wasn't there just last night. (lariat) I would've expected mine should have a cover there.

Mine is brand new so if there is supposed to be a cover there then they didn't put one in at the factory.

With a skid plate I am assuming you have the FX4. It that is the case I have the same. That piece is an air deflector to cool the part above it. I believe the power transfer unit. If you take the trim piece off you can move the upper piece out of the way for easy access too the drain plug without removing the whole skid plate.

I was taking pictures with my arm stretched out. Now that i actually crawled under i can see it is a curved scoop for redirecting airflow. (Yes FX4)
