Question about production times

I can't seem to find an answer, though I imagine it's here somewhere. What is the typical time required once an order enters production status?

My XL (ordered last August) has been "in production" for over a week now. It's nothing unusual except it does have Co-pilot 360. The other features are small stuff, like trailer hitch receiver and the 120V outlet.

I need to put the money together to settle with the dealer promptly, and I'm just wondering how much longer it will take to be finished and shipped. Thanks for any insight.

[Update, Weds. May 11] At 7 pm tonight received e-mail from Ford. My Mav XL actually entered the assembly line today and was finished today. Now awaiting final inspection and testing, they say. Then they estimate 3 to 4 weeks shipping time to my dealer from Hermosillo. That brings the total wait time from order confirmation to delivery to just about ten months.

You can contact Ford via phone or chat and ask what is your scheduled production day. That would give some insight. You can check out my signature block below to see my experience (about two weeks between 'in production' and built.)

Thanks. Now that I posted this, the forum shows me "similar" posts. Dunno why I didn't get those from searching, but looks like 10 to 14 days is about normal.

I ordered my Lariat Hybrid on 15 Nov 2021, had to resubmit paperwork since the MY22 production was coming to an end.

“Second” order was confirmed 15 Sep 2022.

I just received my email yesterday indicating a 10 April 2023 build date.

So it’s a total of 15 months from order to build. I’m hoping I get the truck in June at this point.

Yes, it has been a long time from "on order" to "in production" for most I believe. Mine took nine months. But the original question was the length of time from "in production" status to shipment, which is a different matter.
