Of course further delays can happen, but most estimates I've seen are a delivery timeframe of maybe 5-6 weeks from when the build starts on a particular unit. If that's the case I would think an October start could still put you at late November or early December.

I ordered end of June and I am hoping for a build date sometime in October (no constraints on my selected options yet) and hoping to have it by Christmas 2021 based on info from "dealers in the know".

Why would it possibly take 5-6 weeks. I’ve ordered BMW’s built in Germany, takes a few days to build, 4-5 days to get it to the port and in two weeks it is delivered to the dealer in South Carolina.

Same with me. Ordered July 13th, got confirmation and nothing since. I order the Rapid Red FE as well...

I think Rapid Red was a late availability item? Also seems like there have been less hybrids with confirmed orders than 2.0 Ecoboost, but I may be wrong on that.

I had a confirmed order on 6/12 for XLT 2.0 AWD with FX4 and 4K tow package. I originally had the spray-in bedliner but called and had it removed from my order when I heard it would be late availability. I got my scheduling email the first week with a production date the week of 9/13, so I'm hoping to possibly have delivery at the dealer by late October.

For those that don’t seem to have late availabilities, call your salesperson. I had order confirmation email on 6/15. Got no production email, was talking to my salesperson and he gave me a production date of week of 9/13 and a vin.
