Just wanted to add that turning off the chime doesn't stop it from chiming when you first get in and start up which is what I was hoping for. Having it not chime while driving is not an issue as I always use my seatbelt. I have to retrain my brain to buckle-up first before turning on as that is the only way I know of stopping it for those first several seconds.

That explains it! Thanks for posting.

Since big brother only feels you should have the freedom they think you should have. We get this.

I've worn seatbelts since 1963. No mandates back then, but to me common sense. The dinging is just annoying.

Guys . . I finally figured this out for my 2025 Lariat Hybrid AWD . . and CORRECTED the Instructions in my owner's manual (pg. 48). I simply ignored Steps 1. and 2. and did everything else and it worked. I can't promise it will work for anyone else, but it did for me.

Make sure that:
• You set the parking brake.
• The transmission is in park (P).
• The ignition is off.
• You close all vehicle doors.
• You unfasten the driver and front
passenger seatbelts.

1. Start the engine.

2. Wait a short period of time until the
seatbelt warning light switches off.
After Step 2, wait an additional five
seconds before proceeding with Step
3.
Once you start Step 3, complete the
procedure within 30 seconds.

3. For the seating position you are
switching off, fasten then unfasten the
seatbelt four times at a moderate
speed, ending in the unfastened state.
After each unfasten, the seatbelt
warning light switches on and off with
each fasten.

4. The seatbelt warning light flashes for
confirmation.

So, I ignored steps 1 & 2 in the OM and it worked. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

Since this is where the seatbelt experts hang out...

I have a Hybrid XL. I always buckle my seatbelt before starting the truck. Nevertheless a graphic appears in the instrument panel display showing all of the seats; I must press OK to make it go away.

I don't need to be reminded to fasten my seatbelt which is already fastened - I want my display to show the odometer so I can reset trip gas mileage etc and be on my way.

I've tried everything I could think of to make the warning disappear, like buckling and unbuckling twenty times while whistling "Yankee Doodle", but nothing seems to work.
I did these inshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y64tGOZplT0&t=58structions from this Youtube and it turned off the chimes for each belt I did it on:
