There are millions of new vehicles across every manufacturer right now with pending software recalls.

Ok, after getting the new 12V battery I have had no problems. Even the passenger side front door lock problem that plagued me since the vehicle was new has been magically fixed. I can only hope the new battery is good!

Don't be surprised if the new battery goes South on you as well. These particular Motorcraft batteries seem highly underrated for the truck and seem to have other quality issues. Many people have resolved the issue by switching to an AGM battery. There are threads on the forum with details on which ones fit.
