power steering noise ??

I have a 2022 eco boost ,I know it has electronic power steering . My eco boost seems to get a noisy sound when turning hard right or left . I am out of warranty with 38k. I didnt have this noise before or if I did it got louder . Any suggestions guys?

Some posts about front axles failing , you might want to check if there is any grease coming out of the cv boots.

I think I would just pay very close attention to the steering, the smoothness. If it steers well I would probably not do anything about it.....unless it got real bad.
oh ya and CV axles. If it's a clicking sound on sharp turns that is very likely it.

Under dash? See if you can pinpoint where the sound comes from, and under what conditions

go to an empty parking lot, put into R and drive fairly hard circles with the wheel locked in both directions. that will bring out any CV noise

I have a lariat lux and I don't know if it has the same powersteering as other trims, because it can literally steer in corners.

It is working fine but absolutely I can hear servo/ electric motor swishing noises when I crank the wheel fast. It's always done that. Other vehicles I've owned with electric PS did it also, slightly different noises, but definitely present.

Try to record the sound on your smartphone and post it.

Imagine my surprise when the Mav began to turn all by itself when messing with the buttons while driving it on the highway testing the adapted cruise control now I know what that little steering wheel button and thingy is for
