Possible UAW Strike in September

CNBC reports that there could be a strike against Ford in September when the current contract expires. Needless to say this would be very disruptive on Maverick deliveries. Could effect the timing for changeover to 2024 models and further delays in 2023 & 2024 models.

the UAW does NOT represent Ford workers in Mexico at all. there are some spillover effects from the UAW/Ford collective bargaining agreements, but they(Hermosillo workers) belong to a Mexican labor union.

Although the Maverick plant workers are not represented by the UAW there is still plenty of UAW produced content in the Maverick that will be impacted by a UAW strike.

but... MANY components needed to build both Mavericks & Bronco's come from UAW represented facilities and in this era of 'just in time delivery' logistics the effects of a Ford strike will not take long to affect production in Mexico and Canada as well.
