I think the whole point is for them to protect the Front End and decrease damage, as they would be mounted to the chasis.

I didn't ask. I said the pics were from GTA. OP then said they were not. Read it again.
The question mark was more rhetorical followed by me acknowledging it with "classic".

Exactly. The front is going to crumble just like the rear end, there's been numerous post of minor rear end accidents that look minor but end up being totaled since the unibody crumble zones get a minor bend.

I think those push bumpers are for looks like almost all of the hood scopes in the 1970's "pony cars". This is a unibody, push bumper for cops is frame bolted. I also think insurance companies see that and in their inner mind says, "Road rage ranger shit is not if but when?"... "hold my beer and watch me do a NASCAR pit manooover"! LOL
